Thanks to all servicemen who make it possible for us to celebrate the 4th of July – Independence Day. A day to enjoy our freedoms and an extra day to play.
Summer is half gone – days are getting shorter which translates to less time to play, mow the grass, and less time to laze in the boat. That doesn’t mean we are running out of things to do and reasons to celebrate.
A few of the things to do in the Bay are:
Monday’s – Bingo at the VFW
Tuesday’s – Bingo at the Lion’s Club; Gomer & Patsy show at the Conference Center
Farmer’s Market at Woodland Meade Park (love those tomatoes)
Wednesday – Karaoke at the VFW
Thursday – Steel Magnolias (play) at the Conference Center during July
Friday – Karaoke at the VFW; Dance Club at the Senior Center; Farmer’s Market
at Woodland Meade Park
Saturday and Sunday are perfect for boating and visiting the Fairfield Bay Marina.
If that doesn’t keep you busy there is always shopping.
Check out the T-shirts, hats, dresses/swimsuit cover-ups, décor items and souvenirs and Cap’n Bailey’s Grub Hub at your favorite marina – Fairfield Bay Marina. Not to mention you’ll get to see Sheryl, Mona, Rhonda and Roxie and all the summer mateys.
The summer hours at the marina are 8 AM to 8:30 PM.
Coming soon – Boati Gras. Stay tuned for more info.
Happy 4th!!
